Two Sides To My Coin

Blessed with a gift and a curse, And watch the walls seem to close in. Swallow the world, And get smothered by the ocean. Wake up to words, That seem to drown out the motion. Just in the blink of an eye. There’s two side to my coin and it’s just a flip away. Feathers they float but not when they are soaked in hate. And I’ll keep running running running, Through the fire fire fire, Through the warmth warmth warmth warmth, ‘Til I’ve lost it all, ‘til I’ve lost it all in my head, In my head, in my head. If life were a tightrope, I’d be hanging on by nothing but my teeth. So I’ll wear a blindfold, And maybe just maybe it’ll set me free. If fear was lifes’ lampshade, Then the light isn’t as bright as it used to be. How could it stay, How could it go, And I’ll keep running running running, Through the fire fire fire, Through the warmth warmth warmth warmth, ‘Til I’ve lost it all, ‘til I’ve lost it all in my head, In my head, in my head.

There was a kink in the chain we call, The hierarchy of a petting zoo, With neutered wolves with no desire to feed. But there was a fox who knew this wasn’t his home, A cunning fox who’d learnt to burry his bones. And with his bones he’d build a ladder to be free. Hope is, hope is, hope is, hope is, The mind of the insane. And this is a lonely place, So many broken bones and so many games. And in this pen the fox he had no friends, Apart from one that lady dog that meant, No harm but she crushed his dreams. She clipped his claws so he could dig no more, And broke his bones so he could build no more, That ladder which was his stairway to be free. Hope is, hope is, hope is, hope is, The mind of the insane. And this is a lonely place, So many broken bones and so many games. Everywhere I turn there are burning trees, Once they were pretty little evergreens, Like your eyes and all that we stood for, All that's left is the roots and what we were. And the fox well he blends into the flames, So he needs someone to rescue him. All he wants is some hope he will escape, All that takes is the letter that she promised him. And the fox well he's learnt to beat the flames, What he'll do is just become one of them. But he waits and he learns that there is one more escape, Yes he waits and he learns that their is one more escape. It's in the eyes of the other wolves they tell the truth they tell the truth, So I don't need no letter from you they told the truth and now I'm gone to you.
